Who Is MCS Building Group
MCS Building Group, LLC was launched in March of 2018 by husband and wife team Matt and Christy Scroggin. This family collaboration formed a company that would combine years of experience in the construction and management world, cultivating a strong service to return to the local and surrounding communities. Matt & Christy strive at building and keeping strong relationships by providing a united team effort for any construction project.
Matt has worked in construction and design for over 20 years, beginning in grade school spending summers as a general laborer and job site keeper. His own father, a heavy machinery operator, exposed him to all aspects of construction and the true meaning of hard work. Matt shingled roofs while attending college at the University of Central Arkansas, and formed his own partnership in a decorative stained concrete company, Floorscapes of Arkansas. This endeavor established him as a well-known specialist in the industry, gaining recognition in multiple states and ultimately leading to his strong reputation. He built his first home from ground up at the age of 26 and continues to embrace every opportunity to bring energy to our clients projects. In addition to consulting and building personally for the last 10 years, he has maintained consistent partnerships with contractors & subcontractors varying from commercial projects to residential custom home building.
Christy graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors of Business Administration / Business of Marketing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Since then, she has provided skill and expertise for several startup and management firms, ranging from the healthcare industry to construction. Christy provides organization and direction to foot a strong foundation. Her strength and focus in support skills range from knowing the day to day operations, analyzing budgets and cash flow, to returning communication that will keep projects moving along with seamless transition between clients, customers and support systems.
